Azure Data Engineer

For an innovative company in the logistics sector, I’m looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer.

This company is a large player in the logistics sector and one of the most innovative of its kind. The company works on the newest technologies that are used in the marine sector, ground and air transport. The products and solutions are built at a modern and high-tech production environment. Besides, the company is responsible for a large part of the logistics in Rotterdam. It’s an organization that offers room for growth, is opportunistic and likes to work with people who are enthusiastic to build ground breaking products.

Function

As an Azure Data Engineer you will work in a team that is responsible for the Azure platform. It is your job to turn Big Data into actionable data products and insights. Together with a handful of specialists you will set up a professional and mature environment. You will build data pipelines, work on Azure functions and support the Data Scientists. You need experience with Python, SQL, Docker, CI/CD and DevOps. The team is also working on Machine Learning, so if you have experience with Machine Learning pipelines and MLOps, you will have an advantage (this can be learned on the job as well). Other technologies that are used are Spark, Kubernetes and Databricks, so experience with this is a big plus. Although the team consists of only a few Engineers and Scientists, they are very eager to create an advanced environment. This is where your expertise will be needed!

Function requirements

• Data Engineer with 4+ years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of Azure (must)

• Knowledge of Python and SQL

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD and DevOps

• Experience with Machine Learning pipelines and MLOPs (beneficial)

• Experience with Spark/Kubernetes/Databricks (beneficial)

• Eager to build a professional environment
