Do you want to contribute directly to the success of TDO ACN Networks Arrange? Are you a result driven team player who does not hesitate to take the initiative and take the lead? And are you capable to enforce the teams in this as well? Then we are looking for you to support our teams.
General IT position as to support the network, architecture and vision transformation into concrete IT solutions.
About the department
We are looking for an Architect for our Tribe Arrange, in which we develop IT of the TI networks. Our tribe is divided into 3 domains:
Within Inventory we maintain and develop the inventory tooling like ZSMART, GEOS FOW, KLIC WIN, ARCHIBUS, etc. in which the buildings, rooms, rows, racks, equipment, cables and interfaces are registered for the whole of KPN. This domain is also working on the rationalizing of the legacy tools like KANVAS, GEOS DOCS, NIM P707, NIM OSS, etc.
Within Fulfilment we maintain and develop the provisioning tooling like KIARA, MOOSe, DHCP, Radius, etc. for activation of services from WS, CM and ZM over the networks. This domain is also working on simplifying the landscape to remove complexity and speed up the time of innovation delivery.
Within Service Assurance we maintain and develop the tooling for service assurance on the KPN networks; eventmngt, performance & capacity mngt, mediation, GDCD (Generic Data Collection & Distribution), fault management. Important focus for this domain is to develop zero touch detection, resolution and communication on the service assurance processes. Our goal is to mature the managing of our networks from re-active via pro-active to preventive service assurance.
As one of our Architects has retired, we are looking for an architect to strengthen the Tribe. Arrange contains around 200 people who are working in teams in an Agile way of work. Within these teams you will work with both KPN colleagues as with domestic and international third-party suppliers.
Your role as Architect
As an Architect you further develop the service assurance IT, next to giving innovating proposals in a solution architecture for our teams. In addition, you will support the teams to implement the future proof solution architecture guidelines and adjust were needed. Towards our stakeholders you are the Single Point of contact. As the technical expert you will be directly involved in any major new developments to bridge the gap between business requirement and High-Level Design. As a next step you will translate & handover this High-Level Design to the Service Assurance IT teams.
You advise the teams, solicited and unsolicited, on matters including further improvement of architecture in all above mentioned areas and other relevant topics.
You work closely together with the other architects, with each having their own focus, within ACN. Your focus will be the Service Assurance domain and you are the architectural link between the teams. Together with the specialists you guarantee that we can provide high-quality services to our customers based on future-proof technology.
What do we expect from you?
Translating the business requirements to technical requirements and be enthusiastic to create business value out of available technologies;
Building and maintaining our architectural vision and roadmap;
Guiding DevOps teams to implement the selected architecture;
Continuous delivery of business value through deep understanding of Service Assurance tooling and KPN's ambitions in becoming a data driven operator;
Leading in developing new exciting technologies in our business;
Being a front runner in exploring the market on new technologies for our business and help our teams how to implement it;
Discussing chosen solutions and possible risks with PO's, CPO's, other architects and leadership teams to create the right level of understanding;
Knowing and applying KPN Security Policy and guidelines;
Promote architecture within and outside of your own organization - in word and writing;
Assessing whether design choices made fit within the future architecture framework and governance of KPN;
Determine the desired solution direction of architectural issues in consultation with the other architects;
You will have an active role in IT and TI RFP projects to determine impact and opportunities on the Service Assurance IT landscape;
Have an active role towards IT suppliers to discuss roadmaps and new technologies. If applicable, you will kickstart, together with the IT teams, Proof Of Concepts to investigate benefits/ opportunities of these new technologies.
What do you bring us?
You have HBO working and thinking level and obvious experience as an IT Architect or IT specialist.MSC degree level of thinking in ICT;
10+ years in Telecommunication industry;
Deep understanding of Service Assurance applications; event management, central data collections, service quality management applications and network management systems;
Preferably you have knowledge and experience on Machine Learning/ A.I. solutions;
Proven experience with IT for TI architecture and design;
Experience with Agile / DevOps way of working;
You have broad IT and TI knowledge and you like to thoroughly explorer specific topics;
Strong Presentation Skills to different level of target groups (both technical audience and management);
You have the ability to connect people and enthusiasm them based on your knowledge and energy;
You are a pro-active teamplayer and have "Get-Things-Done" mentality;
Familiar with ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, SCRUM and/or you are prepared to develop more deeply;
You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
