The Global IT Portfolio Manager is part of organization, with responsibilities towards the overall build-up, pre-alignment, prioritization, portfolio health reporting and forecasting of the Global IT portfolio. The Global IT Portfolio Manager reports to the Global IT PMO Director and works closely with the project management domains in GSO and the local Brands, Finance, GSO IT Leadership team in defining and running the portfolio management practice. In an environment with multiple governance models impacting the projects in the Global IT portfolio, we need clear guidance on how projects shall be started and prioritized, how funding shall be allocated, and how insight must be provided to the (financial) health of the Global portfolio.
Building & maintaining a mature IT portfolio management practice in a complex landscape with multiple senior portfolio stakeholders.
Maximizing predictable project delivery in GSO IT by ensuring reliable insights on (financial) project health and by performing rigorous portfolio forecasting.
Aligning with main stakeholders in GSO IT and Opcos to support portfolio insight and alignment before annual planning.
Enabling reporting of (financial) project health to GSO IT main stakeholders.
Implementing efficient way to track project progress and share project forecast information with GSO IT project managements and main stakeholders.
Defining common KPI’s to measure (financial) project health of the full GSO IT project portfolio.
Enforcing practice to tracking and reporting risks, mitigation actions, issues and cross-dependencies within portfolio.
Documenting and communicating the portfolio management way of working to all stakeholders in the portfolio management process.
Enabling and enforcing a practice to tracking and reporting risks, mitigation actions, issues and cross-dependencies within GSO IT project portfolio.
Reviewing (financial) project health with GSO IT senior stakeholders to ensure that it is clear and accurate before presenting in the Monthly Portfolio Board.
Providing necessary information for GSO IT senior management to take decisions regarding GSO IT portfolio at Monthly Portfolio Board.
Assisting GSO IT senior management in strategic alignment & prioritization of projects and their planning according to the GSO IT business goals.
Recommending GSO IT senior management the selection, termination, or initiation of actions necessary to ensure the portfolio remains aligned with the organization strategic objectives.
Leading the strategic business planning in GSO IT supporting the annual budget process.
Ensuring the strategic alignment & prioritization of projects and their planning according to the business goals Strategic selection of potential projects and their planning according to the business goals of the organization.
Providing strategic oversight of the GSO IT project portfolio and the cross-dependencies with the IT project portfolio of all local Brands. Group-wide alignment on global PMO initiatives, global portfolio initiatives with local Opco implementation.
Leading regular alignment of project portfolio roadmap planning & commitments between GSO IT and each Brand to achieve frequent updates of portfolio roadmaps per GSO IT Domain with a constant updated insight of resource & budget constraints, to track project dependencies more closely and to manage/mitigate project risks & issues in the shortest possible timeframe, to shorter planning cycles stimulating iterative learning and reduces uncertainties in long-term planning.
University or college degree
4 + years of IT Portfolio Management experience
2 + years of experience in project coordination, management and/or project delivery accountability
Experience with Agile transitions
PMP, CFP, CPA, CFA or CIMA certification or equivalent experience
Prior experience leading diverse and collaborative relationships across multiple teams
Fluency in English, both in writing and speaking
Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Project
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
